Assistant Middle School Principal (Anticipated)
Description: Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school; take charge of the school in the absence of the principal.
General Duties: Assist the middle school principal in all aspects of middle school program supervision, pupil personnel, and staff/personnel issues. Handle pupil discipline, student activities, and student attendance issues.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the building principal in the general administration of the school
- Administer the school in the absence of the principal
- Monitor and enforce rules concerning attendance
- Organize records relative to student detention and discipline
- Assist the middle school principal with faculty and staff observations and evaluations and scheduling.
- Work closely with the Guidance Counselor in promoting a positive school experience for students
- Make referrals to juvenile court and work with court mediator and probation staff on students assigned to mediation and/or probation
- Assist in the development and implementation of programs and plans to ensure the safety of our students
- Attend, as required, special events, functions, and athletic events of the school
- Arrange conferences with parents, teachers and students regarding grades/disciplinary procedures
- Maintain a positive and effective rapport with staff, students, parents and community member
- Maintain a high standard for student conduct and control in accordance with the due process rights of students
- Provide general supervision to students
- Supervise extracurricular activities
- Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude and conversation
Other Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent
- Previous administrative or supervisory experience preferred but not required
- Appropriate state of Ohio administrator’s certification
- Accessibility and availability to work long hours
Contract: 209 Days
Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and training, established by the Board of Education.

Three (3) Bus Drivers
Objective:
- Operates a school bus or van to provide authorized transportation services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma. Successful completion of state pre-service bus driver training program.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) with school bus and passenger endorsements.
- Ability to cope with stressful traffic, weather conditions and passenger distractions.
- Completion of the state pre-service school bus driver training program and on-going participation in training necessary to maintain required license and endorsements.
- Complies with all pupil transportation operation and safety rules found in Ohio Administrative Code.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Demonstrates dependability/flexibility. Reacts productively to interruptions/changing conditions.
- Demonstrates maturity. Interacts comfortably/confidently with the public.
- Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts responsibility for decisions and conduct.
- Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
- Meets all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the district’s insurance carrier.
- Physical ability to safely lift and manage preschoolers and students with disabilities.
- Satisfactory pre-employment and ongoing random drug/alcohol test results. Must pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment and be fingerprinted every five (5) years.

Substitute Custodians (Classified)
Objective:
- Performs general custodial duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma. Work skills substantiated by training and/or relevant work experience.
- An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work that includes lifting/moving heavy items.
- Collects, records, and maintains data accurately. Applies basic mathematical concepts correctly.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Demonstrates dependability/flexibility. Reacts productively to interruptions/changing conditions.
