Request Private or Parochial Bus Transportation
West Holmes Local Schools provides transportation for eligible students to their private/parochial school. Complete one form for each student requesting transportation for the 2026-2027 school year.

Request Deadline
September 1, 2026
All requests for transportation for the 2026-2027 school year should be submitted by September 1, 2026.
Requests made after August 1, 2026 may take 5-7 work days for transportation to be arranged.
Payment in Lieu of Transportation
As always, if you choose payment in lieu of transportation for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete the request form by September 30, 2026 to indicate your selection.

2026-2027 School Year
Payment in Lieu of Transportation
West Holmes Local Schools may offer payment in lieu of transportation when the District determines that transporting an eligible student to a nonpublic school is impractical. Families must be notified by the Transportation Department that their student qualifies before completing the reimbursement request.
Important Eligibility Information
- Students who reside within the West Holmes Local School District and attend an eligible nonpublic school may qualify for payment in lieu of transportation when District transportation is not available.
- Students who qualified during the 2025-2026 school year may remain eligible for 2026-2027 if their home address, school of attendance, and other eligibility factors have not changed.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for notifying the District of:
- A change in home address
- A change in school of attendance
- A new request for transportation or payment in lieu
- A change in home address
- Reimbursement will not be issued when District transportation was available but the family chose not to use it.
- Near the end of the school year, the District will verify each eligible student's attendance before issuing reimbursement.
