Tri-County ESC job posting - Preschool Teacher - Location Millersburg Elementary

The classroom for this teacher position is located in Millersburg Elementary School.  The preschool is run through Tri-County ESC.
Two (2) West Holmes Middle School Paraprofessionals


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Educational Aide Permit

 General Description:  

A paraprofessional supports student in meeting their educational goals, under the supervision of the classroom teacher; performs a variety of educational and support services to help achieve productive learning experiences; provides guidance and encouragement to help students pursue their intellectual, social, and emotional potentials; promotes the inclusion of students with disabilities into regular classrooms and school activities.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Communication Skills: Must be able to read, analyze and interpret information relevant to the position, including being able to speak effectively to people, and to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Instruct students with compassion and an understanding of the wide range of abilities and needs.
  • Maintain standard of behavior according to established behavior plans
  • Maintain appropriate documentation
  • Regular Attendance
  • Assist students with self-care needs when necessary
  • Contribute to a positive school climate through use of praise, encouragement, and example.
  • Assist with student supervision inside and outside the classroom; lunch, recess, outdoor activities, transitions, field trips, and loading and unloading the bus.

  • Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers
  • Model positive and appropriate behaviors with all students
  • Maintain a calm attitude and send of control at all times

Substitute Custodians (Classified)


  • Performs general custodial duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma. Work skills substantiated by training and/or relevant work experience.
  • An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work that includes lifting/moving heavy items.
  • Collects, records, and maintains data accurately. Applies basic mathematical concepts correctly.
  • Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
  • Demonstrates dependability/flexibility. Reacts productively to interruptions/changing conditions.
  • Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts responsibility for decisions and conduct.
  • Interacts comfortably/confidently with the public.
  • Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
  • Ability to comply with board policy regarding the Integrated Pest Management Program.
  • Satisfactory pre-employment and ongoing random drug/alcohol test results. Must pass a criminal
    background investigation prior to employment and be fingerprinted every five (5) years.
